AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR TO GIVE WORKSHOP

Beginning and seasoned writers will learn how to craft a novel or memoir from award-winning author, Maggie Bishop, at the Foothills Writers Guild’s annual writers conference February 11-12, 2011, in Anderson, South Carolina.
Bishop presents a variety of workshops as part of her Write Now! With Maggie program. She will offer workshops on novel and memoir writing and another on conducting a successful book signing.
Bishop is a popular presenter who regularly receives rave reviews for her workshops. ” By the time I left Maggie Bishop’s workshop on the development of characters in fiction and non-fiction writing, I felt I’d condensed two semesters of graduate-level writing courses into one day. She knows her stuff and knows how to impart it to participants.” Lissa Brown

“Don’t begin your novel until you’ve spent a day with Maggie Bishop at one of her workshops on character development. She’ll save you months of frustration with her sure-fire method of analyzing the people who will drive your story.” Leslie Brunetsky, author of Real Country: From the Fast Track to Appalachia

Do you or someone you know have a book that is rattling around? Learn how to get it out of your head and onto paper from the author of the highly successful Appalachian Adventure mystery series.
You may register for the conference or give it as a gift to someone online at www.foothillswritersguild.org or call  Bren at (864)348-2989 or send her an email at brenfbowman@hotmail.com.
Maggie Bishop is available for interviews at (828)265-2862. Contact her at that number to arrange a speaking engagement or a workshop.

  1. Ms. Bishop:
I understand you’re looking for blog posters on Dames of Dialogue on Mondays. I’d be interested in posting on Vera Caspary, a 20th Century mystery writer and screen writer whose work I’ve helped to get back into print. She was quite a character. Monday dates are open for me. Please let me know if this interests you and your readers.
